The following information comes from a book, "Highlights of the
Capital Hill Community - Jimmie Harrison Taylor's Research". It was
sent to me in an e-mail message from Ron Bewley (RBewley@aol.com) on
Thu, 13 Feb 1997.
There are two Andrew Harrisons mentioned in the book, one the father
of the other. There is nothing about who they may have married.
"Richard Harrison also had a son named Andrew who died in 1718. His
son, Andrew (died in 1752) married Elizabeth Battaile. Among their
children was a son named Battaile Harrison."... Battaile HARRISON1 died
Probably Amherst Co., VA in 1776. The following information comes
from a book, "Highlights of the Capital Hill Community - Jimmie Harrison
Taylor's Research". It was sent to me in an e-mail message from Ron
Bewley (RBewley@aol.com) on Thu, 13 Feb 1997.
"The Harrison relatives called him 'Taily'. His will was proved October
7, 1776."
The following information is from Abner Harrison's article on the
Harrison Repository website:
He owned land in Orange County, VA, as early as 1741, and lived there as
late as 1761. During this period, he also maintained a presence in
Culpepper County in 1755. In 1766, he bought 266 acres from Duncan
Graham on Harris Creek in Amherst County, and lived there the remainder
of his life. In 1768, he, George McDaniel, and John Rucker were
instructed by the court to select a road route from John Nogg's to Harris
Creek. In 1768, he was licensed to keep an ordinary (inn or tavern), an
occupation reserved at that time for gentlemen.
He was married to Frances WHITE (daughter of Daniel WHITE of Culpepper
County). Battaile HARRISON and Frances WHITE had the following
children:

+6ii.Richard HARRISON.
+7iii.Reuben, Sr. HARRISON.
+8iv.Elizabeth (Betty) HARRISON.
9v.James (?) HARRISON.
