"L. A. McKinnon is showing a post card picturing the old log cabin in
Pleasant twp., Logan Co., in which he was born. . . two room one story
structure . . . built by Mr. McKInnon's father, W. C. McKinnon in 1838, the
year that he was married . . . old quince tree on his aunt's farm adjoining,
that formerly belonging to his father, which was brough to Logan Co.
from Burtler Co., by his grandfather, Samuel GESH (sic), Oct. 9, 1835.
The tree is still bearing ruit. (Sidney Republican)"
