"Clyde D. Bechdolt, sec. of the Jay Co. Savings and trust Co. of Portland
and an active factor in the commercial life of that city and of the county
at large, was born at Portland onJuly 11, 1889, and is a son of S. E. and
Lydia Bechdolt, who are still living at Portland. . . In March, 1918, he
enlisted in the finance div. of the United states army and was for some
time stationed at Washsington, or until he was trasnsferred to
Montgomery, Ala., and was there connected with finance fivn. of the
aviation section of the army until his discharge on Mar., 27, 1919. . . In
that same year he married Mar Marty, of Montgomery, Ala., and he and his
wife have a pleasant home in Portland. . . Scottish Rite Mason and a noble
of the Ancient Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine . . . Ft. Wayne.
