I'll summarize what the book says about the ancestors of Andrew
(d.1718).
Richard Harrison had a brother named Andrew. Their father's name is
Anthony Harrison, Jr.
Anthony's father was Anthony, Sr. (b. ca. 1563), son of Peter Harrison
(d. 1593).
Peter's father is John Harrison. "Written history of this family seems
to begin with the will of John Harrison of St. Andrews, Cambridge,
England recorded in 1538 in which John mentions his sons, Peter, Hugh
George, and Richard."

Peter SMITH (Dr.)
[332]
23 Dec 1753 - 31 Dec 1816
Family 1
: Katherine STOUT
Nov., 1974, p. 15; DAR Roster II, 320; Indian Doctor's Dispensatory
(Brown & Looker, Cin. 1813); Slavery and Four Years of War Vol. II, by J.
Warren Keifer. Submitted by Carolyn Chapman and Eleanore Kilpatrick
(maiden name SULLIVAN) desc. of Wm. Lindsay, M. D.
His svc., believed to be on file at Adj. Gen. ofc., Trenton, N.J., identifies
him as N J April 1, 1777 J Ten Eycks men at Bound Brook. Private May 7,
1778, Morris Co. Militia Capt. Carters Co. Col. Seeleys Eastern Battl.
He was known also as Dr. Peter Smith, the Indian Doctor. . . practice of
healing with herbs and roots known to Indians, and his booklet of
prescriptions printed in 1813.
He is described as a preacher, farmer, physician and abolitionist.
Starting from N. J. about the year 1780, Peter and Catherine moved to
Va., the Carolinas, and to Ga.
"And he preached, possibly in an irregular way, the Gospel, as a devout
Baptist of the Old School" to quote his grandson, J. Warren Keifer.
However, he did not like George "with its many scorpions and slaves" so
he moved the family on horseback, twin babies among them, carried in
baskets hung to the horns of the saddle ridden by his wife, through Tenn.
to Ky. They fled Ky. since it, too, had become a slave state, and came to
Ohio. Here they settled on Duck Creek near Columbia, now within the
limits of Cincinnati. In 1804 he again took to the wilderness with his
family of twelve children, and came finally to a farm on Donnels Creek,
Clark Co., Oh.
From "Springfield and Clark County" p. "131:
"While Peter Smith is mentioned as a member of KNob Prairie Christian
Ch., he was later a Baptist . . in 1810 he was called to the pstorate of
Mad River Baptist Ch. . . while no church was built, in 1826 the Mad River
Baptist Ch. had 140 members. . . meetings weere held in the homes, often
in the home of Samuel Smith, a son of Peter Smith where, after his death
(Peter) in 1816, his widow continued her residence.
"In 1811, Peter Smith, who had come to Mad River in 1804, went on a
missionary journey into Pa., N. Y. & N. J. . . mention has been made of
Peter Smith in his cabin while Indians still lurked in the forest."
p. 353: "While Dr. Peter Smith is not mentioned in the medical annals of
Clark Co. he belongs to local pioneer history. While he died in 1816, and
lies buried at Donnelsville, he was the author of a treatise: 'The Indian
Doctor's Dispensatory, Being Father Smith's Advice Respecting Diseases
and Their Cure' . . . according to Dr. John Uri Lloyd, a noted author and
antiquarian of Cincinnati, it was the first Materia Medica published in
the West."
p. 354: "While Peter Smith was born . . . Feb. 6, 1853, and had a
migratory life he was educated at Princeton . . . In 1804 he again took to
the wilderness with his entire family then numbering twelve children,
born in the ;Jerseys and on the line of his march through the wilderness,
the states and the territories,'
"in advertising the volume when it was on the market, Doctor Smith
placed 'the price of $1 on the book of advice, well knowing that 75 cents
was enough, but those who do not choose to allow 25 cents for the
advice, may desist from the purchase.'
