JoAnn Naugle, 4100 W St., NW #513, Washington, DC 20007: "It appears he was
killed in the Civil War, although there is some confusion about names. A
letter of Josiah Jr's mentions the death of his brother. . . says Josiah's
brother 'Benjamin' was killed in a battle near Hannibal and says one of his
letters is attached. The letter, though, is signed D. W. McKInnon (a typed
copy). Josiah had no full brother named Benjamin, but it is conceivable that
he had a half brother by that name.
No info. is presently available concerning ch. of Catherine Harrison McKinnon
and her second husband."
