!PARENTS: We can conclude that Elizabeth's parents were John Edmonson and
Sarah Abell. Sally was the daughter of Peter Abell and Lucy Carman. At
Elizabeth Edmonson's marriage in 1809, it is stated that Elizabeth's
grandmother and guardian was Lucy Polke. Lucy was the widow of Peter Abell
who died about 1785. Lucy and Peter's oldest daughter Sally married John
Edmonson on 25 July 1887 in Nelson County, Kentucky.
