lists her birth date as Feb 2, 1849. Birthplace stated as Stockholm Sweden,
daughter of Aners Esk (sic). Place not confirmed by Swedish birth records (as
of 1997).

!1868 IMMIGRATION: According to the 1900 census, Emma Eck had been in America
for 31 years (one year less than her husband Gustaf). That would imply that
she arrived in 1869. Since we know that she was married in January 1869, it
implies that her time of immigration was late 1868 but before January 1869.

PROFESSION: Ruth Landorg, Indianapolis IN, stated that Emma was working as a
domestic in Chicago prior to her marriage. This report is not consistent with

The following is from a book of Frederick Co, Md wills. I have not seen a
copy of the actual will. (Ray Green)
Will dated 11 Feb. 1751/2, very sick.
To wife Elizabeth: tract Harding's Choice, being 100 acres in lieu of her
thirds of my land.
Sons Charles and Elias: 117 acres of the Hermitage equally; Charles' 58 1/2
acres to be laid out in the lower part, now called Chance. To sons Edward
and Grove: 5 shillings each
The Negroes Coger, Sal and Judey be valued by 2 men and equally divided
between my 6 children: Charles, Luis, Elizabeth, Lucy, Cassia, Ursely.
Residue of estate to wife Elizabeth, she also executor.

Luis (Lewis) - b 4/20/1722
Elizabeth - only info I have is in wills
Lucy - b 10/24/1724 Rock Creek Parish, Frederick Co, Md (have a little
more info and lots available in Family Tree Maker cd's)
Cassia (Kissiah) - only info I have is in wills but I know someone who
has more
John - b 4/29/1718 Rock Creek Parish, Chevy Chase, Montgomery Co, Md -
his son Gary is mentioned in Elizabeth's will. He d circa 1750.
