1947 in Chico California. She attended elementary and high schools in
Hamilton City, 10 miles west of Chico. She attended junior college in
Monterey California and then transferred to San Jose State University. On
November 23, 1969 in Sunnyvale California she married Richard Paul Murphy
(born 4/27/43) who was a a manufacturing manager in the electronics industry.
They had one son:
where where Richard was a manufacturing manager. Diana and Richard were
divorced in 1981at which time she moved to Susanville, California where she
and her brother Claude bought and renovated an abandoned 10 unit apartment
house. In 1987 Diana moved to Aptos California on the Monterey Bay. She now
works as the administrative assistant to the chief financial officer of
Seagate Technologies, on of the biggest computer disk drive manufacturers in
the world. Diana recently bought a house in Aptos. Her mother Vivian lives
with her. Diana is a recent convert to the Mormon Church in whose faith she
finds solace from the grief over her brother's death five years ago.
