We are Jonathan and Gayle Paul of Corral de Tierra (Salinas) California, Mooney owners.  We have owned for over 15 years a 3-bedroom vacation home in Sunriver Oregon, a wonderful fly-in vacation destination resort. This home has been enrolled in a vacation rental program managed by a reputable local company, Sunset Realty.

In summary, we would like to rent our home directly to Mooney pilots but at a considerable savings over renting directly from Sunset Reality.  Doing this saves the renter the payment of various taxes (16%) and commission (30%) yielding a considerable savings (nearly half).  And it's all the same to us.

Number 15 Loon Lane is a modest dewelling on a street with some rather large and expensive vacation homes. It is one of the less expensive homes offered by Sunset and yet, to us, it has alwaws seemed to offer far more for the money than other rentals,

Sunriver is probably the premier fly-in destination in the West. It is located in the pine forests of the high desert in the lee of the breathtaking Cascade Mountains. It offers all the year-round vacation activities you would expect: skiing at nearby Mt. Batchelor, golfing, bike riding on over 30 miles of paved bike trails, fishing, white water rafting, canoeing and kayaking on the Deschutes River, horseback riding, hiking in the adjacent national forest, a notable music festival, nature center, excellent dining, and numerous local attractions.  Our favorite time is in the spring and fall but it's great in any season. The Property (15 Loon Lane): 1,100 square foot single family home. 100 feet from the Deschutes River and Cardinal Landing bridge Walking distance (a long walk) to Sunriver Airport (S21), the Mall, and the Sunriver Resort 3-bedrooms (all with queen-sized beds), Sleeps 6 Fireplace 2 Full Bathrooms Fully Equipped Kitchen (Stove, Refrigerator, Microwave, Dishwasher, etc) Hot Tub 350 square foot deck, gas barbeque Bikes (4) Washer/Dryer Single Car Garage TV (Cable) VCR and CD Player

Sunset Reality offers its properties (including 15 Loon Lane) under a complex pricing schedule based on high, medium, and low seasons, with numerous "Specials". The nightly prices for Loon 15 range from $168/night ($194 with taxes) for the Christmas Vacation period to $64/night ($74 with taxes) during the low season under a "two for one" special.

Whatever, the quoted rate will be (before taxes), we will rent the house for 70% of that amount and you will not have to pay any taxes.

The specials are not offered during any holiday or vacation periods that include: King Birthday, President's Day, Spring Break, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.

An Example:	Sunset's normal off-season price: $128/night + 16% tax = $148
	Our Price= $89.60/night ($128 x 70%)

• Send me an e-mail with the requested dates, your name and address and your Mooney tail number. If the timing is short, please feel free to call me at (831) 751-9958 or my mobile (831) 262-0881. I will confirm availability, the price for those dates, will reserve the house in your name and send you a confirmation by e-mail.

• If you wish to have a more immediate confirmation of availability, go to the Sunset Web Site. Enter the arrival date, number of nights and the code name for the house which is "LON15". Then click on "Search for my accommodations now". Click Here to go to the Sunset reservation page. Do not make a reservation with Sunset.

• Mail a 50% deposit to my home address: Jonathan Paul, 56 Calera Canyon, Corral de Tierra, CA 93908. The balance is due before the first date of the rental.  I also accept payments by PayPal.  (If you are not a PayPal member, you can enroll by going to www.paypal.com and the charge ends up on your credit card)

• Approximately two weeks before the rental date, I will send you a key to the house along with various instructions and a pre-paid return envelope for the key.

• Cancellation Policy: Until 2 weeks before start date, full refund of deposit. 14-7 days before start date, 1 day's rental will be withheld. 7-0 days, 2 day's rental will be withheld. At my discretion, I will apply the deposts to future rentals.

• You may wish to arrange for a rental car at Sunriver. Hertz offers cars through the Sunriver airport, (800) 801-8765, or call Hertz reservations directly.  A rental car is necessary if you will be doing any activities outside of Sunriver but it is not absolutely necessary since the Resort van will transport you and your luggage between the airport and the house. Without a car, you must ride a bike or walk.
